The Best Two Years

This week has been a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of work. I hate to do this to yall cuz its boring of me. But I'm gonna have to cut this one a little more short, because I just got a free minute from today and its already late. But here is the quick rundown.

We did another exchange this week so I had a new companion for that day and that was super fun, good to get to know each other more and learn new ways on how to missionary work, cuz when you're just with the same person, you pick up a routine, so it was nice to mix it up. Plus now I have a fresh perspective and way to go about spreading the word, so that's always great.

We had a baptism this last week that we did with the Springvale Elders in the neighboring area, and that was awesome. It was super hectic and kinda chaotic with a little bit of confusion thrown in just to seal the deal, but it worked out. However, we started to fill the font and stepped away for a bit, and when we returned the water inside looked like it came out of the River Jordan itself, so that was wonderful! It was kind of poetic, however it did look pretty gross. See the attached photo for reference. But our man Carlos was a trooper and all for it anyways, nothing like dirty water to make your soul clean.

Another awesome thing was that this week for our day of fun (or P-day) We got to go to a guitar store and play around and look at it all, which is always super fun. Plus, we went to the "American Store" and it was like I was back home. It had all the amazing sweet treats and snacks that I miss, so you know I got a case of Dr Pepper Cream Soda. They sadly don't have any Dr. Peppers here, so that was a gift from God, truly. They say that doing this work reaps blessings and I can tell you, they've materialized in the form of a crisp red can.

I heard a quote this week that I loved and would like to share it with all of yall. "Study and try to learn something as if you have no talent, and then apply it like you didn't study" Basically you have to learn it like you have zero talent and are starting from scratch, so you have to put in that effort and energy and time and really try to learn everything you can. But when it comes time to apply it, don't just copy it the way you learned it, that's already been done. Take what you learned and make it your own, your individuality is what makes you special and it will in turn make whatever you do special because it is uniquely and unapologetically you. So go learn and go do and be yourself, make it your own, go make something original and great.

I love you all so much and appreciate all your love and prayers, hope all is well. I'm gonna respond, I promise, it may just take a week or two (or three) but it will get there. If I have not responded in that time, it's because you're extra special and it's on its way via carrier pigeon so it may be slower. God loves you all and the work is moving forward, so don't get left behind.
