FLASH FLOOD🌊🌊

So we didn't actually have a real flash flood. More like a flash flood of people who are interested. Which I think is the best kind. We went from working hard and finding no one, to all of a sudden having tons of people. I know we were blessed for our efforts and it's began to pay off.

We have been teaching a couple regular people for a few weeks, such as Daniel and Mahabir. And they are still doing amazing. They are the best and just love everything we teach them. And we had a couple new lessons with a few more newly interested people, so that is fun and its so cool to see them come looking for the joy. One of the best lessons we had this week was with a group of like 6 guys from Fiji and Vanuatu. I tried to learn a little bit of Fijian but I suck at it and I don't think i got a single word right. But, they are here for work, so they all live together, but we went over and taught them, and it went super well. They loved it and we have another lesson with them this week. It was awesome.

On Saturday we went and walked around town square with a whiteboard that asked "WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY?" and we had everyone write their answers. It was super fun and made a lot of people smile. We did get a few crazy answers, like hard drugs and bongs, but we didn't put that on the board😅

We were able to do a few fun things this week just to mix it up. We went and checked out this cool little pier and park one day and took a few photos, we went and had some really hood Texas barbeque one night. That was so good and reminded me of BBQ at home. And then yesterday we went and hit golf balls at the driving range which was a lot of fun. Its always either pouring rain or beautiful and sunny here so you have to try and time it right to do things, but that's okay.

This week I was reading in Alma 29. And a few of the verses stood out to me,

"O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I might go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people!

But behold, I am a man, and do sin in my wish; for I ought to be content with the things which the Lord hath allotted unto me.

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy"

These verses speak specifically about spreading the gospel, but it can be related to anything in our lives. The Lord gives us our calls ans provides for us, and it may be our habit to wish for other things or wish the time away or anything like that. But it is important to remember you are where your at for a reason, even if you may not recognize that reason yet. But look for the blessing the Lord gives you at the current time, and be grateful for what you have and where you are. Give thanks and glory to God and you will be blessed even greater.

Sorry for the late email. I'm working on sending them on time, but hey, at least I got one out. I'm loving being out here, even on the days that are a little harder or a little slower. I know I'm here for a reason and I'll have my time to do other things later. I hope your all doing amazing and always feel free to reach out. I love reading your guys emails! And thank you to everyone who checks in and updates me on life, I really do appreciate it. But that's about all from me this week. Just working hard and staying busy. Let me know if you ever need anything and I will do my best. I love you all so much!

Keep pressin on....
