La MTC está muy bien!
Buenos dias mi Familia! La MTC esta bien!
I've been picking up Spanish cuz we've been hanging out with a lot with a neighbor district who all are speaking Spanish. So that's been awesome, I'm basically fluent now. But on the real, the MTC has been incredible for the 2.5 short days I've been here. And I'm so excited for the next two weeks. I am also extremely grateful that I'm not here for 11 weeks like the Mongolian missions. Don't get me wrong, I love it here, but that would be gnarly.
This week has been a good one for sure. I officially left Hawaii and came to the good ol land of Provo Utah. It's cold. My recently developed Hawaiian-ness has made me weak to these harsh conditions. I feel like I'm fighting for my life in the Yukon tundra out here. 55° is coooooold lemme tell you🥶 however the mountains are so beautiful and it's been amazing. Reminds me how much I truly love theRrocky Mountains. What a beautiful creation our lord has given us.
Before leaving I got to spend time with the family and go golfing and get muchos food. It was good to spend time with them. The goodbyes were hard, but it was exciting to be starting. When I landed in Utah I got to do the two things I missed the very most here. Eat a fat Costa Vida burrito and most importantly go to CABELAS! WHOO-HOO that was epic. Loved it. And after that finally arrived at the MTC.
It's been lots of classes (which are incredible) lots of meetings (less incredible but still good) , and lots of meeting new people. My favorite part is prolly just talking to all the people around me and see where they're from and going. It's such a fun time meeting new people here. Today is my first Pday so we're going to play some pickle ball and basketball. So you know I'm about to ball up (If you don't know, I do not in fact ball up) but it'll be great, then we have some classes tonight. I have been munching on the food and it's good, not sure if it still will be in two weeks. Aaaaand I have begun the tie trading so that's fun. Tomorrow we get to go to the temple and do baptisms and inititories. I'm so so excited for that, it'll be amazing.
I can promise you the sprit is strong and the work is good. Jesus Christ is real and he loves every one of us. Remember to always look to everyone with love and turn outwards with love and charity. I have learned to love God and the atonement so much more in this short time and it's truly the greatest blessing. I love you all so much and I can't wait to hear from you all.
Hasta luego,
Elder Reddish
