The Mormons are at the Door

 G'Day everyone,

I made it to Australia!! I'm finally here and beginning the real work. And it is incredible already. It's been kind of a crazy week of lots of new things and experiences but it's been fun. I also have a couple stories and I'll share one at the end that's optional but I think is super cool. A few cool things I've noticed here I'd that there's graffiti EVERYWHERE it's wild. Some of it's cool and some of its just dumb tags, also the trucks are a lot smaller. And they just look like a Subaru cut in half with a bed, so I'm not sure if that counts as a truck, but maybe I'll learn to love em. And apparently there's not just kangaroos frollicking everywhere? Kind of a let down but apparently they're only in the "nature" and not on the city bus.

The travel here was gnarly, nearly 30 hours of traveling total and it was loooooong. Luckily, I was able to sleep most of the really long flight so it passed by quicker. But getting here was a relief. We were able to meet our mission president at the airport and we all loaded up in a big van and went to the mission office. There I was able to have an interview and get to know the Pres. He's super cool guy who loves to surf so it was fun to chat. And I was also able to do a practice drive with the driving coordinator.

Needless to say, I am not a right hand steer left side road kinda guy. It's all backwards. The blinker and wipers are swapped so the windshield was nice and clean every time I tried to turn, and I may or may not have kissed the curb a few times. Good thing it's not my car, but hey, as they say the fastest car you'll ever drive is one that's not your own😂😬

I also got to meet my trainer, his name is Elder Macgraw, and he's super cool. He's from Australia so that nice, he kinda knows the ins and outs. And he's been out a year so he knows somewhat what he's doing. Apparently you never actually ever know, but you just fake it till you make it. Which I am good at, so I'm basically already there.

I have been able to go out and knocking on doors a bunch already and that is so fun. You never know what you're gonna get and its always a pleasant surprise when they are interested. To pass the time we play a game while walking called Book of Mormon Baseball and I'm not good at all, but hopefully I get there one day. It'll be nice when I'm not getting beat 5-1......... one Day........

Oh and we have a few people we're teaching and two on date for baptism. Yu is this Sunday so it's fun to already be into, and Ahn is soonish. Please pray for Ahn and his family yall, he's a super cool guy and is super eager to be baptized it seems like.

Other than that the work is fun and going well already, and I'm becoming a pickleball wizard. By the end of this mission none shall stand to oppose my pickleball skills.

Because it's the week of our Saviors atonement, I've been reading a lot in Matthew. Right around the Palm Sunday time, so the 20s chapters ish. And one big teaching in that from Jesus is the two great commandments. Love the Lord and love thy neighbor. These two simple things can change not only our lives, but the lives of those around us. So always lead with love and please remember to love the lord. When you love you will feel loved.

I'm gonna send a separate email with a story, so sorry that your getting two but its so cool so trust and look out for that if your interested.

I love you all so much and I love getting your emails, I'm gonna do my very best to respond to them all so, but if I don't please don't take it personal I'm just a scattered mess. But reach out with any updates or if you need anything please reach out. Hope your all doing well and I keep you all in my heart.

Love you all,
Elder Reddish
