Call The Fire Department!

Hey everyone! What a week this has been, slightly unorthodox, but we still got to work. We've had a lot of fun this week despite a few roadblocks that came up. But we were able to have our interviews with the mission president, did a lot of PTing due to car issues, and we shot a music video for the social media page. Along with a few other fun things.

So on Tuesday we had our interviews with President Thomas. These are officially his last interviews with us before the new mission president comes in next week. It was super fun and good to talk to him for a little while. We talked about all kinds of things, including some hints at  transfer news, but I'll wait to share until it's official. While we waited, we were able to sit and chat with our district and the APs all day which was super fun. They're all so cool and it'll kinda be lame when it all gets mixed around during transfers, but hey that's okay. Plus the day before, we spent all day with them playing card games and that was a blast. They're cool people.

Well on Monday the car was dead. The battery was absolutely drained and wouldn't even jump so we had to PT all day long. Then later on in the week we called roadside assistance to come and help us out. We got it to the shop and had it serviced and got a fresh battery in it. THE VERY NEXT DAY, we went to administer a blessing and when we went to leave we noticed it smelled a little bit like gasoline. So my companion started the car to leave, and I watched it just start to DUMP gas all over the place. So we called again and said hey our car is spewing gas, and they said we need to call the fire department to get it cleared. So we ended up having them come and check it out. They said they deal with it quite a bit because the companies are super paranoid, but they gave us the all clear, we just couldn't drive it.

We chatted with them for a minute and they went on their way. So we got a tow truck to come get us, made it to the shop and had it fixed in about 20 minutes. But yeah, that took all day and it was a little wild.

On Sunday we shot a music video for the social media page, and it was so much fun. It may

have taken 40 tries to get one take all the way through, but hey, it was a good time. Hopefully that goes up soon. But we also visited a part member family, and they had a brand new 8 week old baby who was so cute. And another highlight was last night's sunset. It was incredible so I'll attach a few photos of that. It was a good week, and I'm super excited for the next one.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart"  -Proverbs 3:5

When we trust in the Lord fully, we know that he will provide for us. No matter the outcome or answers that we receive, we know He will be there for us and will support us through all trials. He promises to bless us when we are faithful, so always work to do good. Trust in Him. The Lord will provide.

Thank you for all the kind words and the encouragement. I appreciate all the emails you guys send to me. Truly a highlight of each day getting to read those. I hope you are all doing well and I miss you all!  Let me know if you need anything, and I'll do my best. Keep on rockin and rollin.

much love,
Elder Reddish

P.S. Congrats to Harlee and Hayden. They got married on Saturday! Love you both!
