The Three Caballeros

 Gooooood Moooorrnnniinnnggg Vietnaaaammm,

I hope you're all doing so amazing, and are doing some truly awesome things. Another week full of miracles completed and I'm excited to tell you all about them. This week was a little bit slower and very out of the ordinary but hey, it was still great.

Some of the highlights include some awesome visits, lots of home to home contacting, a super fun exchange with one of our zone leaders, and the biggest news of all...... drum role please....🥁🥁🥁........ WE GOT ANOTHER COMPANION! Woohoo!

I guess I'll cover the big news first. On Tuesday night, we got a call from our APs asking us if we had any big plans that night or the next morning, so we said no not really. And they said we had just received a new elder in the mission and he will most likely be joining us. So we got super excited. That next morning we ended up going to the mission office to pick him up. His name is Elder De Silva and he is from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He served a little bit in the India mission but his area got shut down so he was reassigned to Melbourne. He's super cool and its been fun to have him with us. Its cool seeing the cultural difference between the three of us, but that we're really similar deep down. And doing English language studies is pretty fun. It has definitely been an adjustment going from 2 to 3, but its good for me to have to learn to make those adjustments. And it kinda throws a wrench into our predictions for next transfers, but it'll be cool to see what happens.

Other than that we were able to do lots of knocking, especially since Elder De Silva had never done that before. So we got to teach him the ropes on that. Knocking is one of my favorite methods of finding, even if it may bot be the most effective way. We prolly knocked a few hundred doors so that was fun. And we were truly blessed because the weather cleared up for us every time we went out. Good times.

One of the visits we were able to do was to a lady named Wendy. She's not really an investigator but just loves the lord and loves to have the missionaries come and visit her. She lives alone in a retiree complex and has some dementia, so while we were there she asked us how the work was going about 10 time in 15 minutes. But it was so fun, she is so sweet. When we first got there she answered and was so happy to see us. But we talked about missionary work and our families and it was nice. She kind of reminded me of my Grandma Gloria in some ways which was so fun.

On Thursday we were able to do another exchange, so my companion went down south and one of our zone leaders joined me and Elder De Silva in Moorabbin. It was good to get to know each other more, and get some work done. His name is Elder Coray, and he's from down in Utah. We get a long well and it was a good time, plus he taught me a few new card games which is always appreciated. But that was great. Except that we missed one of our buses, which happened to be the last one for quite a while. And we were stranded an hour and a half walk from our flat. It was kinda nuts, but eventually we called our elders quorum president and he kindly came and picked us up. We were very grateful for that.

Special shout out to all the father and especially my dad. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!! My father, grandfathers, and other dads that have been close to me in my life, I appreciate all the hard work and the support they've put in for me. All the lessons they taught me and experiences we had have prepared me for serving a mission and I wouldn't be where I am without. So thank you all for that you do! And I can't wait to do all those things again when I'm back home.

Today for P day we got together with the whole district and played a bunch of card games and board games and it was a ton of fun. I basically won all of them because I'm a card shark, (que rocky music) but that's not too important, its all about having fun.

Big announcement from home: Macie leaves for Ghana this week! She's going to be an amazing missionary and Ghana is lucky to have her. So prayers out for her. She is truly an inspiration. Love her lots.

Its been a great time here on the mission, and the Melbourne Australia mission is ON FIYAH🔥 We stay so busy and it is truly a huge blessing. I find joy in every day, even the ones that are a little slower or a little harder. I really truly appreciate all the emails you send and I'm sorry that I don't respond. But I do in my heart. And it definitely uplifts my day. I hope your all doing great, let me know of any awesome life updates and know I'm always praying for you guys. I can feel the thoughts and prayers for me and I truly truly appreciate it. Reach out to me if you ever need anything, I love you all! Stay thuggin.
