Irene got Dunked and I hit the Griddy!

Malo e lelei ! What a blessed week this has been. So much to tell you all about. It truly has been one of the highlights of the entire mission so far. And dont worry im trying my best to journal about it all for the future. But here's the rundown of some of my favorite things this week.

We'll start off at the beginning of the week and go through in order. Monday was a blast, talked to my family for a while, went on a little ocean overlook hike, and played a quick round of mini golf. Honestly a pretty solid pday. And it was Elder Bachman's first pday so we tried to make it fun.

Throughout the week, we had some really good lessons with a few of our friends. And one of them we put our other friend Daniel on date for September 14!! Super excited for him and he wants his kids to be baptized soon after so hopefully that all goes well. He's super eager, just a few more things we need to do with him. But things are looking good for them.

The highlight of the week was without a doubt Saturday. For a few different reasons actually. First off, in the morning we finally were able to have Irene's baptism! It was so so good. She is truly an amazing woman, and this baptism has been years in the making. Both of her children were baptized in 1990 and all of her grandkids were born into the church, she was the only one and wasn't ever interested until recently so it was amazing. Her whole family came and it was such a great time seeing them joined together and they are all looking forward to the day they can be sealed together. Everyone who shared talks and thoughts shared amazing things, and the spirit was so strong the whole time. And Irene was just filled with so much joy. It was just wonderful I'll tell you what.

Later that evening, we had a ward culture night. Where we shared and taught about all the different cultures that are represented within our ward. Us Elders have been adopted by a Tongan family named the Lelenoas, they are so awesome and treat us so well. So with them we learned a hymn in Tongan called Folofola Mai A Sisu. It was so much fun, and we also learned a dance that we performed, which was also a blast. You can find all of them in my google photos. They also decked us traditional Tongan fits. It was such a fun night and it was great to spend time with the ward. They are all so amazing and its awesome to learn a little more about them and where they're from.

Remember that all of you are beautiful children of God and you have a purpose here on this Earth. Some days it may not seem as noticeable or easy as others, but as you keep on going the Lord will be there to provide and support you in all your doings. Just have faith and endure and you will find blessings that the Lord has prepared for you.

I love you all so much and I hope you are all having a great time. I miss you all, but I'm doing great down here. Reach out if you ever need anything! I appreciate all your love and support and all the messages I get. They're the highlight of my day.
